Philips Manufacturer’s Warranty – Australia
At Philips, we stand behind the quality of our products. This warranty is provided by Philips Australia and applies to products purchased within Australia.
Warranty Coverage
• 2-Year Warranty: Philips offers a two-year warranty from the date of purchase. If a valid proof of purchase or warranty card cannot be provided, the warranty period will commence from the fourth month after the product’s manufacture date.
• Free Repairs: During the warranty period, if the product is used in accordance with the user manual and a defect is identified by an authorised Philips representative, the product will be repaired free of charge.
• Product Exchange: If a defect is identified within the first four weeks of the warranty period, you may request a free exchange for the same model or a similar product, subject to assessment by an authorised Philips representative.
Warranty Exclusions
Please note that the warranty does not cover:
• Damage due to misuse: This includes improper installation, use of non-genuine parts, operation not in accordance with the manual, negligence, damage during transport, unauthorised repairs or modifications, and damage caused by force majeure (e.g. natural disasters or power surges).
• Example: If a smart lock is installed incorrectly—such as misaligned drilling or incompatible door fitting—and this causes the product to malfunction, the resulting damage and any fix-up work required to correct the installation will not be covered under warranty.
• Normal wear and tear: Age-related deterioration that does not affect product functionality.
• Cosmetic damage and consumables: Scratches, dents, and wear on the product’s exterior, as well as consumable items such as batteries, are not covered.
